Hiking & climbing
Hiking directly from the Alpenchalet
Alpenchalet im Leutaschtal is a good starting point for hikes of different lengths and difficulty levels. The hiking routes to the Gehrenspitze and the Meilerhütte pass very close to the house. Both tours are demanding and are suitable for experienced mountain hikers with the necessary fitness and equipment.
In the Ahrn district, around one kilometre away, four further hikes classified as difficult begin. But not every tour has to lead into high alpine terrain: the surroundings also offer many options for walks and easy hikes. From the chalet, guests can explore the Leutasch Valley directly, for example on paths along the Leutascher Ache.
Only around 50 metres from the house, there is a bus stop on Puitbacher Landesstraße. The bus connection runs as far as Telfs and provides access to numerous other hiking areas and starting points along the way. This allows guests to plan many tours without their own vehicle and, on suitable routes, also use the bus for the return journey.
The official hiking overview for the Seefeld region offers a large selection of hikes with information on route, length, walking time, elevation gain and difficulty.
Arnspitzrunde hiking bus
